As a result of the success Buffalo City Court has experienced as a pilot court designated for accepting civil commencement documents through the NYS Courts Electronic Delivery System (EDDS), please be advised effective April 1, 2023, all city courts in the 8th Judicial District will be authorized for the electronic submission of commencement documents, in addition to the transmittal of documents in pending matters, through EDDS. Please note, pursuant to AO/253/2022 a document sent through the Electronic Document Delivery System (EDDS) with a request for filing should be treated as “filed” only upon the payment of any required fee and notice from the court clerk that the document has been received/accepted for filing.
