New York’s new sick leave law, Labor Law 196-b, requires ALL private employers (including not-for-profits) to offer sick leave…and for those with more than 4 employees, it must be paid sick leave. Not just for COVID-related issues, as of January 1, the new law also requires employers give employees accrued time off to help family members under certain circumstances, too. Need a quick primer on this new law? Join us for a one-hour session. Handouts will include useful materials on assessing compliance obligations and how to revise (or create for the first time) sick leave policies. This presentation is geared towards business attorneys, in-house counsel, and HR professionals.
