Job Posting: Personal Injury Disability Attorney (Department Lead)
Location: Amherst, NY

Hiller Comerford Injury & Disability Law is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Injury Attorney to lead our growing personal injury department.  While Social Security Disability has traditionally been the focus of Hiller Comerford, the firm began to invest significant resources into building a personal injury practice in 2019.  This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a firm committed to growing its personal injury practice.   The firm has already done a lot of legwork in getting the department going and is looking to add an experienced attorney to help take the practice to another level.  If you feel like your current position doesn’t offer you room to grow, this could be a perfect fit.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the personal injury field.  Trial experience is strongly preferred.  Pay is $90-$150k depending on experience, plus opportunities for incentive pay structures.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing personal injury law.
  • Proven track record of successfully handling cases related to auto accidents, premise liability, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.

Benefits:

  • Compensation: $90,000-150,000 (DOE), plus opportunities for incentive pay structures.
  • Comprehensive health benefits package.
  • Retirement savings plan (401k) with employer matching.
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Professional development opportunities.

Application Process:
Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and references to douglas@hillercomerford.com. Please include examples of relevant cases you have handled and describe your approach to client representation in personal injury matters.

Equal Opportunity Employer:
Hiller Comerford is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
