Mask or Cloth Face-Covering Shall be Required for Attorneys and Members of the Public to Enter the Courthouse

In accordance with Executive Order 202.17 issued by the NYS Governor, anyone entering a courthouse for any purpose must wear a mask or cloth face-covering. Executive Order 202.17 provides, “Any individual who is over the age of two and able to medically tolerate a face-covering shall be required to cover their nose and mouth with a mask or cloth face-covering when in a public place and unable to maintain, or when not maintaining, social distance.”

Since it cannot be assured that appropriate social distancing can be maintained, attorneys and members of the public who do not have face coverings will be deemed to be not in compliance with the Governor’s Order and will not be admitted.
