Erie County Clerk’s Office COVID-19 Response

We are preparing for everything. The Erie County Clerk’s Office not only serves the Auto Bureaus but it provides essential services to the court system and the Erie County real estate market. We generate a multi-million-dollar surplus annually which alleviates the property tax burden. Ensuring the continuity of operations is tantamount to preserve confidence in our government. My Office is continuing to fine-tune our Continuity of Government Plan and we will be submitting it to the Legislature next week.

EFFECTIVE March 18th The Erie County Clerk’s Office will be suspending or halting services at some Offices:

Eastern Hills Mall Auto Bureau – SERVICE SUSPENDED
All Pistol Permit Offices – SERVICE SUSPENDED (this includes all business at ALL 3 locations. Downtown, Cheektowaga & Elma)
The Clerk Community Outreach Center – SERVICE SUSPENDED (this includes the Southgate Plaza office and all its scheduled outreaches)
Passport Processing – HALTED (this includes our downtown and Southgate locations)
Thank-A-Vet Cards – HALTED (this includes our downtown and Southgate locations)

EFFECTIVE March 21st The Erie County Clerk’s Office will be SUSPENDING SERVICES at ALL Erie County Auto Bureau Offices. RELEASED 03/16/2020

EFFECTIVE March 17th Erie County Auto Bureau Operations at our Mobile Units and inside Evans Town Hall are suspending services until further notice.
