Our Frequently Asked Questions page can answer most of your Member Portal questions. Toggle between headings to find the answer to your question. To log in to your Member Portal, please click on the button below.

Membership FAQs

To log in to your Member Portal, visit eriebar.org/memberportal 

To ensure delivery to your email inbox, please add communications@intouchondemand.com to your address book or SPAM filter list. You might want to reach out to your IT department to ensure that the email address communications@intouchondemand.com is whitelisted. If pop-ups are being blocked on our site you may experience problems. Please add InTouchOnDemand.com to your allowed sites list.

Log in to your Member Portal. Once you are logged in, head over to the My Account  section on the left side and select the Membership Payments option. This option will display any outstanding membership dues.

Your membership dues will automatically display in your Member Portal under My Account > Membership Payments. You can also view our Membership Dues Schedule by visiting eriebar.org/membercenter/membership/membershipduesschedule

Log in to your Member Portal. Once you are logged in, you will see a link  to Fastcase under the My Account heading.

Please contact your law firm or organization’s administrator to confirm if your dues payment has been submitted.

Member Profile FAQs 

To update your Member Profile, including your phone number, email address, and employment information, you must first log in to your Member Portal. Once logged in, select the My Account option on the blue banner at the top of your screen. Navigate to the Contact tab. Here, you will have the option to update your full member profile, including your communication preferences. Fields marked with a red asterisk are required. Be sure to click the blue Update Contact button on the bottom right-hand corner after you have completed your changes to ensure your changes have saved.

To update your practice areas in your Member Profile, log in to your Member Portal and select the My Account option on the blue banner across your screen. Navigate to the Practice tab and select Add Practice Areas. Once you have selected the appropriate practice areas, click Submit on the bottom right-hand corner.

Event Registration FAQs

To browse our upcoming events, visit our Calendar of Events at eriebar.org/membercenter/calendar/

To register for an event, sign in to your Member Portal and find the Events heading on the right. Select the View Events/Courses option. You will be directed to our calendar where you can browse for the event of your choice. Once you find the event you’d like to register for, click on the event name and follow the steps to register.

To find information about the events you have registered for, find the Events heading in your Member Portal. Select the My Registered Events/Courses option. On the following page, you can search for your event by changing the start and end date and selecting the Show button. Your registered events will display.

CLE FAQs

Did you know? All current law students can attend any live CLE program FREEEmail the CLE Department to reserve your spot. 

Attention Newly Admitted Attorneys – The New York CLE Board has issued an order temporarily allowing Newly Admitted Attorneys to complete their Skills requirement via live webcast, teleconference, and videoconference. This change is effective through JUNE 30, 2024.   

To register for an upcoming CLE, sign in to your Member Portal and find the Events heading on the right. Select the View Events/Courses option. You will be directed to our calendar where you can browse for the CLE of your choice. Once you find the CLE you’d like to register for, click on the CLE name and follow the steps to register.

If you attended a live CLE and submitted your CLE form, your certificate will be emailed to you after the program. 

To request a certificate for a past program, or a prerecorded program, please email cle@eriebar.org

Cybersecurity, Privacy and Data Protection (“Cybersecurity”) Category

You must complete at least 1 credit in Cybersecurity as part of the 32-credit requirement. You may choose to complete the Cybersecurity credit:

  • in Year 1 or Year 2 (as part of the 16 credit-requirement for that year)
  • in Cybersecurity General or Cybersecurity Ethics (or a combination of the two)

You may apply a maximum of 3 credit hours of Cybersecurity Ethics – but not Cybersecurity General – toward your 6-credit Ethics and Professionalism requirement


 

Experienced attorneys must earn at least 24 CLE credit hours each biennial reporting cycle as follows:

Lawyer Referral & Information Service FAQs

To become a member of the BAEC Lawyer Referral & Information Services panel, please submit an application by visiting: eriebar.org/lawyerreferralandinformationservice/lrisattorneyapplication/

To view a list of your assigned LRIS cases, log in to your Member Portal and select the LRS tab on the blue bar displayed at the top of your screen. This will display a list of your active and closed cases. You can filter your search by selecting the filter of your choice next to Filter My Cases.

From this screen, you can update the status of each case by selecting the blue Action button to the right of each case. 

A case with a blue circle indicates it is an active case.
A case with a yellow circle indicates that it is an active case and needs updating.
A case with a green circle indicates the case has been closed.

Committees FAQs

To join a Committee, log in to your Member Profile and find the My Account heading on the left side. Select the Your Committees option. Select the Enroll New Committee button to request to join a committee.

To view a list of Committees you are currently enrolled in, log in to your Member Profile and find the My Account heading on the left side. Select the Your Committees option. This will display a list of all the BAEC Committees you are currently participating in.  

Erie County Bar Foundation FAQs

To make a contribution to the Erie County Bar Foundation via credit card, simply log in to your Member Portal and navigate to the Make A Contribution link under the My Account heading. You will then be able to select the amount of your contribution and submit a credit card payment.

Directory FAQs

The Bar Association of Erie County Online Member Directory allows members to identify other members who share similar practice areas; identify members to whom they might wish to contact regarding issues/questions outside of their practice areas; and, to facilitate general networking opportunities among our members. Participation in the Member Directory is voluntary (members may remove or add their online profile at any time). Profiles are accessible only by other members.

To access the Online Membership Directory, log in to your Member Portal and select Directory  on the blue banner across your screen.

 

The Online Membership Directory is separate from our printed Directory of Attorneys and the Courts, which is available every fall. To purchase a copy of the latest printed Directory, please visit eriebar.org/directory

To update your practice areas in your Member Profile, log in to your Member Portal and selec the My Account option on the blue banner across your screen. Navigate to the Practice tab and select Add Practice Areas. Once you have selected the appropriate practice areas, click Submit on the bottom right-hand corner.
