After the pandemic pause, student loan interest will resume accumulating in September 2023, and payments for borrowers resume in October 2023. This CLE will examine the new regulations and programs created by the Biden administration’s Department of Education that make repayment of student loans more affordable and easier to navigate.  Attendees will learn about the new repayment options and loan forgiveness, discharge and cancellation programs.  We will also cover consolidation, deferment and forbearance and other ways to prevent or get out of default. Neighborhood Legal Services attorney debt counselors will be available to answer your questions and for follow up appointments, regardless of your income level.
