Description
Greco Trapp, PLLC, a Certified Woman Owned Business Enterprise, seeks two talented and motivated attorneys with 1-5 years of experience, admitted to practice in New York State, who are ready to prosper in a high-volume and collaborative environment by joining our legal team. The firm is dedicated to cultivating your professional and personal goals, offering a competitive salary and benefits/compensation package inclusive of performance-based bonuses, paid sick, personal, and vacation leave, a profit-sharing retirement plan (i.e., employer contributions without the need for employee contribution), medical insurance contributions, paid professional memberships and CLE, and paid covered parking.
We pride ourselves on our extensive, hands-on training of associates and staff. The attorneys will work closely with the managing partners in areas of general litigation in both State and Federal Court, as well as administrative agencies (representing individuals and companies); employment law; municipal law (e.g., villages, towns, and fire companies); and education law (e.g., school districts) by assisting in matters from inception to resolution by conducting legal research and analysis to provide thorough and creative legal advice to clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, drafting and reviewing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and contracts; representing clients in depositions, court and administrative hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings; collaborating with senior attorneys on complex cases while at the same time gaining valuable insights and experience; maintaining clear and effective communication with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel; upholding the highest professional and ethical standards; and staying updated on legal developments and changes that impact our clients and cases. While we have no billable hour or generation requirements to allow our lawyers to focus on those areas of practice in which they are most skilled, our firm’s core practice areas, such as civil litigation and municipal law, involve periods of intense focus and are not conducive to a 9 to 5 schedule. Similarly, substantially all of our clients expect us to be physically present at various meetings in and out of the office.
Successful candidates must have strong research, writing, and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and organization. They must also have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, but cooperative environment and have a willingness to learn from experienced attorneys.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000 per year depending on experience.
