#2284 How to Use the New York State Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) Effectively

Presenter Michael Kuzma is a solo practitioner based in Buffalo, who has utilized federal and state Freedom of Information laws for nearly four decades.  He successfully argued Bottom v. Fischer, 129 AD 3d 1604 (4th Dept. 2015), in which attorney’s fees and litigation costs were awarded under FOIL. Leslie James Pickering, Co-Owner of Burning Books is also a presenter.
