On March 13th, 2018, Dr. Ursuline Bankhead and Katelyn Niedermier, Esq. presented an educational seminar addressing issues of Diversity and Inclusion. This educational offering explores the ways the culture of the legal profession interacts with under-served and minority populations. Presenters review some of the unique challenges specific populations face when entering the legal system and possible ways to recognize and address those challenges in an effective manner. A sampling of the topics include communication styles, ethics, and recognizing the value of diversity. Ultimately, participants should gain an understanding of the importance of an inclusive setting for working with clients.
