Our community needs to protect itself during this time, and the BAEC wants to help. So, we are partnering with the Westminster Economic Development Initiative (“WEDI”) and Grassroots Garden to get 100 face masks to those who may not otherwise be able to afford them. We are asking our members to join in this effort by either making a face mask (it’s not that bad – we promise) or purchasing a face mask for donation.
Our goal is to have 100 masks for distribution by June 30. And to foster connection, collegiality, and mask-making between our members, we are going to have two virtual happy hours, where we can catch up, make masks together, and hear about the great work being done by WEDI and Grassroots Garden in our community. The first happy hour will be on May 26 at 5:30 pm and the second will be on June 2 at 5:30 pm. Event details can be found below. We ask that you register for the happy hour so we have an idea how many people to expect!
The three members who make the most masks will get twelve (12) free CLE credit hours from the BAEC!
Special thanks to Daniel C. Oliverio at Hodgson Russ for his generosity in purchasing the filters for the masks, which will be distributed along with the masks by WEDI and Grassroots Garden.
