Contract Immigration Attorney – Must live in NY

What You’ll Do:

• Handle assigned cases including: family-based immigration (adjustment of status, immigrant visa processing, fiance visas, etc.), employment-based immigration (investor visas, TN visas, H-1Bs, etc.) naturalization and complicated citizenship cases, removal defense, and more
• Research and prepare legal briefs and attorney memos
• Analyze and evaluate key immigration legal issues for all assigned cases
• Stay up to date on legislative changes that may affect immigration policies

What We Look For:

This position is for an attorney with 5 - 7+ years' experience in immigration law.

Expect from 10-20 hours per week.

• Experience with preparing immigrant and non-immigrant visa applications
• Must be licensed to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction with no disciplinary history
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• A track record of taking ownership with the ability to shift focus and manage multiple priorities
• To possess outstanding client-relation skills
• To be detail-oriented, meticulous, and highly observant
• To be an excellent problem solver and critical thinker

Pay:
$35.00/hr+ depending on experience
