The Buffalo District Office of Counsel of the US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking an attorney with diverse practice experience with a focus on federal labor and employment law.   The attorney will work under the general supervision of the District Counsel and is responsible for advising and rendering legal advice and support to management regarding Federal employment law and the labor-management relations of the District.  The attorney will also advise the District on various investigations, procurement matters, civil litigation, environmental law and public information laws.  This announcement closes on September 30th.  To learn more and apply please visit: https://www.usajobs.gov/job/673634600.

The Buffalo District has approximately 300 employees spread over New York and Ohio with the majority located in the District Headquarters in Buffalo, New York.  The District maintains 16 commercial and 19 recreational harbors, along with 110 miles of federal navigation channels along Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence Seaway.  The District has a robust civil works construction program that is focused on improving the quality of watersheds of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.  The Buffalo District also has the primary responsibility for the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division radioactive waste remediation mission and overseas a several hundred million dollar annual radioactive waste remediation program across four states at 12 sites.  For more information on the District please see the attached link: https://www.lrb.usace.army.mil/
