Niagara County District Attorney is seeking to add a full-time Assistant District Attorney assigned to the Special Victims Unit.  Candidate must be passionate about helping victims and families impacted by sensitive crimes. The position offers competitive salary, participation in the NY retirement plan, family health coverage, and robust paid time off benefits. The District Attorney’s office offers prosecutors the ability to cover a wide range of cases with a significant degree of autonomy. Assistant District Attorneys perform legal work as assigned by the District Attorney in indicting and prosecuting crime within Niagara County.  The complexity of cases and the independence of action increase with the seniority and experience of the incumbent.  The incumbent works under the supervision of the District Attorney and higher-level Assistants who review work for conformance with law.

Salary Range: $73,163 - $111,272

Job Requirements: Graduate of Law School AND current registration with the New York State Bar at time of appointment and for the duration of employment with Niagara County. Permanent residence within Niagara County is required within 12 months of appointment.  Previous SVU experience preferred but not required.
