Trials and Hearings in the COVID-19 Pandemic Era: Virtual or In-Person?

This program is hosted by the American Bar Association.

This program will address how the state and federal courts are handling trials during the COVID-19 pandemic. Panelists will discuss what is involved in a virtual trial (jury or non-jury), and how an in-person jury trial can be held in a safe way. These critically important issues along with others will be examined and your questions answered by a panel of judges who have held virtual or in-person trials and evidentiary proceedings in ways that complied with public health concerns, along with a seasoned trial lawyer who handled the first summary jury trial in Texas state court, and the head of the jury project at the National Center for State Courts
