CLE: Virtual Hearings: A Sea Change for Lawyers, Judges and Arbitrators

In the light of the closures and social distancing policies resulting from the Covid 19, some courts and arbitrators have begun conducting hearings and trials using remote technology, so that witnesses, lawyers, judges and others can conduct their business without congregating in the courthouse. This article/presentation explores the legal limits of such technology, recommended protocols to protect privacy and the nuts and bolts of how this remote technology actually works.
