This program, convened under the POWER Act by the Federal Court, WDNY, and led by Chief Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford, WDNY and Chief Judge Glenn T. Suddaby, NDNY, convenes an array of speakers and perspectives to discuss intimate partner violence in a typical setting and explores technology facilitated abuse and the resulting harm to victims of intimate partner violence. This program is designed for legal practitioners, social workers, and attorneys.
This program is presented by U.S. District Court WDNY, U.S. District Court, NDNY, The Empire Justice Center, Willow Domestic Violence Center, Bar Association of Erie County, Monroe County Bar Association and the Erie Institute of Law, and co-sponsored by the Albany County Bar Association, ECBA Volunteer Lawyers Association, NDNY Federal Court Bar Association, Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys, Minority Bar Association of WNY, Rochester Black Bar Association, University at Buffalo Family Violence and Women’s Rights Clinic, Volunteer Lawyers Project of CNY, Inc., and the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, WNY Chapter.
