Speaker: Michelle Moncher, Esq., Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo
This training will focus on enhancing the mental health and well-being of professionals working in fields where they are regularly exposed to trauma and assist survivors of traumatic experiences. In this time of remote work and social distancing how we manage these experiences has changed. The science behind the experience of trauma will explain why the body and mind react to events in ways that compromise one’s health and performance. Resiliency theory will be used to help develop strategies to prevent the damage that trauma can cause. Finally, this training will provide simple but effective activities and exercises to interrupt the trauma response and make your work-at-home experience productive and safe.
This program is generously sponsored by the Erie County Bar Foundation making a reduced registration fee to BAEC members possible.
Please note: The course material and Zoom link will be provided to all registrants 1-2 days before the program.
