Chief Administrative Judge Orders Supreme Court Special Parts to also Hear Applications Arising from Coronavirus Detention

Pursuant to the authority vested in me and at the direction of the Chief Judge, I hereby promulgate the following additional procedures to designate judges assigned to special parts to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak to hear any and all proceedings, applications, actions and matters arising from acts of voluntary or involuntary detention, isolation and quarantine pertaining to the Coronavirus.

Effective immediately, inside New York City and outside of New York City, Supreme Court parts heretofore established for essential matters will also hear applications arising from acts of voluntary or involuntary detention, isolation and quarantine pertaining to the Coronavirus.
