Specifically, the Labor Bureau brings civil and criminal prosecutions for violations of minimum wage, overtime, prevailing wage, and other critical labor laws. Recent matters include enforcement of core workplace rights of taxicab drivers, construction, fast food, restaurant, home health care, and other workers, as well as investigations in emerging areas, such as employer misuse of payroll cards, on-call scheduling, and non-compete agreements.
